As parents, we wish the best for our children and want
to help them develop to their full potential. From an early
age, we provide them with opportunities to gain new
experiences and uncover their innate talents and interests.
Invariably, a question that crosses most parents’ minds is “Should
we start them on piano lessons/dance classes/art sessions?” This
sometimes results in a labour of love where parents shuttle their kids to
weekly enrichment classes. These classes provide a structured way for
kids to be exposed to the aesthetics from a young age and are a great
way to help them uncover their talents.
Thankfully, even for children not inclined towards formal classes,

there are plenty of opportunities for them to also be exposed to the
Arts in Singapore. Throughout the year, there are plenty of children’s
theatre shows, art exhibitions and musical concerts that are suitable for
children. Museums sometimes even have special programmes catering
especially to young ones.
